On 11th March, we open the Jessie Stephen: A Maryhill’s Suffragette exhibition. We are very proud to say it’s been successful so far and all visitors really enjoyed to get to know more about this still fairly unknown figure of Maryhill history.
As part of the exhibition, we are happy to announce we will be opening the exhibition on Saturday 19th April between 10am and 5pm. It will also be Jessie’s 162nd birthday and for this occasion, we want to come together for a simple event over a cuppa and a piece of cake.
At 2pm, Anabel Marsh (the author of the exhibition) will bring a limited number of people for a shorten version of the popular Maryhill Women’s History Walk and you will come back around 3pm into the Halls in time for the cutting of the cake. Book your free space here!
We really hope you can make it, and, if not, the exhibition is open until June from Monday through Friday, 10am-5pm.
We understand weekdays don’t work for everyone but we have limited capacity with only two members of staff at the Trust. However, we will be announcing one or two more weekend dates before the end of the exhibition.
See you soon!
